As you can imagine there's plenty of Creation releases featured, Biff Bang Pow's 'The Girl Who Runs The Beat Hotel' is at #4 and Felt's 'Forever Breathes The Lonely Word' is at #7 (source indiepop.it and Creation records site). .On the Message board there's a link to some Paris photos. Go-Kart Mozart played 2 sets in Paris on the 27th of March in a place called La flèche d'Or. .The gig was filmed by Paul Kelly (Ex-East Village), who's working on a documentary on Lawrence called "Lawrence of Belgravia". Acording to Lee McFadden, the film will be finished by October/Nobember 2006 and will be presented at the London Film Festival. March 2006 . Also, Felt, Denim and Go-Kart Mozart in Myspace (includes 4 tracks each). Go to Links! . Some extra info displayed in the Creation records site, concerning GKM's gig in Paris. July 2005 .Link to Lawrence's interview to " The Guardian". .Go-Kart Mozart's "Tearing up the Album chart" text version of the cd insert. April 2005 Great News!!!!! Acording to Christophe Basterra post (in the Felt Forum), the new Go Kart Mozart is called "Tearing up the Album charts", including some tracks from "Denim take over" (still unreleased) and is to be released mid May. And it's geting better...Lawrence is planing on a third album before the end of 2005 to get rid of the project and finishing a solo album "In the pursuit of death" and (hopefully) start a tour with his own band! Although we keep our fingers crossed, things have been quite delayed for a year or so. Let's hope this is it! >>Acording to Lee McFadden, who has been in contact with Lawrence and released this info in first hand, the album is to be released on 4th June though Cherry Red. Acording to Lee "The Felt B-sides compilation is being delayed because of license agreements still to be signed" March 2004 ( news on LAWRENCE) In a interview to Hugo Moutinho (from Mondo Bizarre magazine), Lawrence stated he's going to do a B-side compilation this year, a rarities edition and a live edition (probably the gig in Aula Magna, Lisbon - Portugal in 1987). Also, someone's writing a book on Lawrence and in the beginings of March, Paul Kelly (ex-St. Etienne) started filming Lawrence in a documentary on his new band. And answering to the question bellow...yes, Gary Ainge will play in Lawrence's new project, different from Felt, Denim, Go-Kart Mozart (no name yet). Lawrence is trying to get a contract deal on 2 discs at least. >Check out this great link: you can hear 30 seconds samples from all Felt tracks. Try also Maurice Deebank cd and your (other) favourite bands http://www.musicline.de/de/artist/felt January 2004 Acording to Lee McFadden (read full article, please!), Lawrence is working on the last Go-Kart Mozart album (Update note: DONE!), compiling a book of Felt, and preparing for low key live dates in the autumn. Maybe a B-side rarities album is on it's way. "I wrote an album intended for Poptones release - very dark and introspective. I've formed a band with Steve New of the Rich Kids - we're rehearsing the album as a live proposition. I'll also play Felt songs. I'm not denying them, they're great songs and I can't deny the past. The band name is open to discussion - it'll have my name in it, but it won't be just Lawrence. I can tell Felt fans that I'll never reform Felt, but I can now say that I can review my back catalogue live. The audience will shout for old songs anyway - they've paid their money and they want a good night. But band reformations like Television and the Velvets were just money making ventures." >Here's some names Lawrence sugests to forthcoming bands: Cynthetic ceiling - Taz Wrapper - Alf Tomkinson's bicycle party - KKN (Korruption Kollusion Nepotism) - Len bright and his folding paper - Canada Briggs and her problems down there - Rocket cottage - Babi yar. >Board
